
The Women's Food & Farming Union;
Acts as a catalyst promoting the exchange of ideas between the producer, the food industry and the consumer.
Understands and addresses the concerns of consumers who are anxious to know how their food is produced.
Monitors production methods, scientific developments, retail products and the presentation of food in the marketplace.
Informs young customers about the production of good British food and the pattern of the farming year.
Lobbies opinion formers and government, and presses for responsible balanced reporting in the media on food topics.
Encourages co-operation between the many industries related to food and farming.
Cares deeply about every aspect of food production and about the countryside in which we live.
There are many openings and opportunities available to pro-active individuals within the WFU. Developed to a full potential, this vocational experience can lead towards enhancing ones work based skills and as is in the case of many WFU members, has provided the springboard to valued opportunities within associated agricultural organisations.
